Currently trying to find out why my eigenvector calculations are wrong... Is python just dogshit? What is a better software to do this and get precise eigenvectors?

I would read the documentation and figure out what parameters you should adjust to get the error you deem acceptable. How do you know the book answers aren’t rounded though?
