I understand how they are made but I look at how the formula was constructed and it seems so unintuitive and makes me realize I don't have a brain truly wired for math, I can understand it but I can't create anything in it. Even once I had a relatively primal understanding of integrals and derivatives i still cannot derive those multiplication and division rules without looking it up. I spent 3 hours trying to create a factorial function and thought I'd found the answer 3 times and was wrong each time because my monkey brain can't do math. I'm pretty sure I'm too fucking retarded for a math degree. I can understand high level math concepts but when it comes to actually doing any of them I cannot.
