>>11944615Have you considered drawing pictures more often of what you're working with? Do you ever try to derive theorems, algorithms, methods by yourself? Have thought about carefully studying the work, not the habits but the actual process, of more intelligent people? If memory is the problem simply try creating lists in your head, repeat things back to yourself compulsively, if focus is the problem force yourself to work on something that requires your undivided attention for extended periods. If pattern recognition is the problem look up the solutions to your problems and observe the common patterns that others have uncovered, consider how they discovered them. Look out for those lower level patterns in future work and attempt to emulate the search procedures they used to discover the latent pattern/structure of the past solved problems you've exposed yourself to. Carefully copying others virtues is an art, and something literally all children even the most original and brilliant must learn. Its lamentable that you're an adult and incapable of this but you still have time to improve. No guarantees you attain brilliance but you can become competent, nearly everyone can become competent.
Godspeed.
