The concept of a timeless, space-less reality beyond spacetime would not arise within a purely spacetime reality. This is true of free will as well. Free will cannot be illusion. What exactly is it an illusion of? There is no answer because the very thing is self-evident in nature. You might as well say blue is an illusion. An illusion of what? Free will exists. Reality beyond spacetime exists. Consciousness is primary.
