Is it a complete meme? I see the whole videos around this. I thought reading shit on glass made your brain distracted so you didn’t really retain any of it. Is it true? Can a modern student of science go paperless?

I've never heard that, which doesn't mean it isn't true obviously. I have heard that writing by hand is better for memory than typing.

No, tablet learning works like any other type of learning. At the end of the day, you learn by reading and practicing, regardless whether or not it you do it on paper or a glass screen. My only dislike about using a tablet is it can get hot over time using a note taking app and of course charging.

Really? So why shouldn’t I just get an iPad Pro, a battery pack in case it runs out and just write for days for class notes? I used to use a surface pro like 4 years ago and that was great. I know what you mean about it heating up but keeping brightness low and taking breaks every 20 minutes goes a long way.

If what I'm remembering from high school psychology is correct, the actual act of writing something down is more important to memorization and learning than the actual content being written. Typing didn't have that same effect. assuming everything i said is true, I don't know how writing on a digital surface would change that phenomenon, or if it would at all

If you're kind of a slob and have trouble keeping track of papers its a godsend. I used to be constantly losing things and my desk looked like a warzone as did my notes from class. Maybe not worth it if you are very organized and take great notes already, but if you are on the messy side and have money to spare you should go the ipad-apple pencil-notability route and never look back.

Up to you and your budget. I personally use a surface pro because I wanted a laptop as well, so that works well for me. I've heard good things for ipad pros though, especially if you don't need a laptop, just the note taking app.

Not a bad idea, I guess you just need to be mindful of the size of the battery pack, it may bother some.

True. To some it might be a nuisance but thankfully it doesn't heat up too much.

Is there a way to turn off the "infinite" canvas that OneNote uses? I would like to replicate writing on a sheet of paper rather than a canvas.

IPads arent that expensive. Apple started lowering their prices to a decent amount (~300$,depending where u re from) and in some European countries you can even regain money by doing your taxes and classifying your Tablet as an educational spending, so money is really no big deal.

If a youtuber has an affiliate link in their video description that sells the product itself, or another product that's an accessory to the videos featured product, there's an extremely good chance that the youtuber is either getting paid for these videos, or "conveniently" gets these products for free. Theres no way to tell for certain, but from watching parts of the video and how biased he seems towards Apple, he's likely a shill (or someone who got meme'd into buying an Apple product and is trying to justify the purchase to himself)
