>>11936181Man I fucking hate this new obsession with compartmentalizing neurotransmitters that normies seem to have adopted.
For example, that pic places noradrenaline (norepinephrine) as the concentration neurotransmitter, but I can tell you from experience that dopaminergic drugs are much better at modulating concentration than norepinephrinergic drugs.
So why is this a push right now? To sell new pharmaceuticals, mostly. The powers that be HATE the fact that ADHD is very efficiently treated with plain old dextroamphetamine. It directly contradicts their narrative about "bad" drugs and puts one of the largest populations of psychiatric patients squarely in the realm of generic drugs. This isn't very profitable, as it turns out.
They also love to pretend serotonin is the key player in depression, so that they can keep making new lines of SSRIs. The idea here is that you take a drug that does basically nothing, aside from have a few side effects, and use it as a one size fits all placebo treatment. You get basically no risk and all reward.
I mean, what's somebody with actual depression or actual OCD or actual anxiety going to do if you refuse to treat them with anything other than placebos and platitudes? Are they going to rise up and institute change?
Of course not, they are crippled cattle and that's the way the (((powers that be))) like it.
Seriously, don't ever post that pic again.
