Smoking weed can disrupt the unconscious and reflexive way that your mind processes information from your senses. This reminds your conscious mind that it can analyze this information directly. Once the drugs are out of your system, your perceptions return to normal, but your conscious mind remains aware that it might not always agree with how your automatic lower-brain systems have been doing things. You are now perceiving colors and shapes, not just "knowing" them as you did in the past.
It is kind of like when you notice that your car windshield is dirty, and suddenly you need to clean it because you are aware of all the limits the dirt has been putting on your vision. But this is the reverse - you can perceive sensory details that you learned to ignore as a small child. Your conscious mind is re-evaluating how your unconscious perceptions ought to work.
This is harmless, or perhaps somewhat useful if you want to dabble in visual arts. Further use of drugs will not make any difference. Enjoy the beauty that you have been overlooking all this time.
