UFO sighting (non-schitzo post)
Hello /sci/. Just about half an hour ago, at around 22:40, I saw a strange object pass over while trying to get some pictures of comet NEOWISE.
At first, I thought it was just a normal satellite. However, it had a bright red/orange hue, far exceeding in magnitude any of the usual sats I have seen while stargazing (It had around the brightness of Jupiter). What really caught my interest, however, was that it was visibly maneuvering, shifting erratically both in declination and ascension (around 1 degree each) as it passed overhead.
Now, this can't have been an atmospheric distortion as none of the other sats I saw today exhibited such erratic behavior. It wasn't a plane either, because it simply disappeared from view abruptly.
It wasn't a meteor, because it was moving way to slow for that.
Could it be a military spook sat?
Is it aliens?
If it's man made (and space borne), it's bound to complete a second orbit soon. I'll keep watching the sky and report back if anything interesting happens.
