Every class in any stem course you will take in uni will have a textbook as your main source of information. WHenever you are cramming for an exam, you will not be going to your professor for hours but you will be going over your notes and most importantly, you textbook. It thus seems that uni even for stem is a scam and the only reason to go to get a stem degree is to make sure that the capitalist class can have an easier way of deciding who will be their best wage slave. If you only wanted to learn something like mechanical engineering, you could easily do it on your own.
