I bought a titanium nitrate chain for my bike (because it looks cool), but I forgot about dissimilar metal corrosion.

It's TiN on steel. Do you think it's going to just turn black?

And it should not. The nitride is fairly non-conductive and will protect the metal from oxidation. Furthermore, Titanium oxide itself protects the titanium from further oxidation to the point it's hard to make electrodes with it for scientific purposes like a perchlorate cell. You'll be fine, but if you want a fun way to protect your bike, attach a magnesium fire lighting stick to it with good metal-metal contact. 5$ no rust till it's gone using the same principal.

yes if you do not protect your bike, couple of blacks will appear on a clear sunny day and take it from you.
