Suppose here are universes for the alternative choices you make, the theory implies that you're immortal.
If you put in a gun next to your head and you pull the trigger, there will be a universe in which you succeeded pulling the trigger and a universe where the opposite happens; the gun clicks off. You could do it over and over again, putting bullets in the gun, putting the gun next to head, and putting your finger to trigger your gun.
