1E-15 * 1E26 = 1E11 = 1E8 * 1E3

Say the inflation would have lasted for that attosecond.
The proton would have had time to expand to
1E11 * 1E14 meters = 1E25 m
A light year is about 9.46E15 m
So with inflation's speed of 1E26-fold expansion per every 1E-32 s, an attosecond would give a proton enough time to expand to 1 billion light-years.

That's the whole point. You can watch molecules rearrange themselves (e.g. protein folding) when you probe with a laser at the attosecond timescale.

Nothing, more or less.

They didn't. atto- is a multiplier you can attach to any unit, like kilo- and milli-. You can have attometers, attoparsecs, attoamperes, and attoseconds as well. That doesn't mean all these combinations are actually useful, and the prefix "atto-" was not coined in order to apply it to seconds.

Nobody "invented" attoseconds. They invented the prefix atto, which means 10^-18, and can be used to measure meaningful things. According to Wikipedia, the weight of the HIV virus is 1x10^-18 kg.
