If you only want to make money, you won't thrive in an engineering position. You might get a decent paying job, but better engineers will be promoted much faster. You'll end up just clogging up the academic system, and then being the weak link in whichever industry accidentally hires you.
If you just want money, there are better careers to choose.
Now if you're serious about engineering as a profession and you just want to pick the path that makes the most money, do EE. They're in high demand right now.

Literally any STEM major in conjunction with a CS minor or dual major will put you well ahead of 99% of your peers in the job market.

If don't want all the work then Id say just CS, anyone who says its a meme is a fucking idiot. The tech industry is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, and over the next few decades as we become more and more tech based its only going to increase. Think about how much "smart" tech people have incorporated into their homes today, now image what that'll look like in 2 decades, I don't know about you but I would love to be on the forefront of the technology that is changing the world and society.

Choose wisely, I'm in my 3rd year of physics engineering and I think I'm dropping out, in 3 years I havent learn shit I just pass and forget everything afterwards, and the pay for most works for sure isn't worth the effort, I feel like shit right know I lost 3 years of my life in something I hated thinking it would make me money and know I just feel like given up even though I could course just one more year I can't anymore, the worst part is I don't actually learned anything useful I just know how to resolve some shitty textbook problems but I don't even know what my methods mean,

In short like someone here says only study this if you love it being good at math doesn't cut it because no matter how good you are at it if you don't love it you would be miserable
