Hi there, /sci/! It's your friendly neighborhood /pol/tard here with a bit of a mystery. We're looking into the Three Gorges Dam at the moment, and we're trying to find the pressure in the pipes at the dam.

I’m no hydrologist, so some of what I’m about to say is bound to be wrong or at least inaccurate, but hopefully a pro can swing by, look at the data, and find the gaps in it so that we can come up with something useful.

With that in mind, let’s begin with some basic knowledge about the dam’s spillway system, the water flow rates and some other miscellaneous but useful intel.

And yes, some of this will be kind of a hodge-podge of information. I'd apologize but I'm too burnt out trying to figure out fluid dynamics without a degree.
