>>11906183>>11906201fwiw i agree with dropping the cool attitude but I think there is no problem with researching one specific topic. In fact i believe it's much more applicable to real life than covering a broad range of topics such as general ochem/botany. Cannabis is slowly getting legalized and people capable of helping cultivate high quality cannabis are in my opinion highly appreciated. Beats your random joe growing unknown weed from heuristics. Cannabis is just a plant like any other, so from a strictly scientific point of view it's the same as studying tomatoes or wheat. Associating it with memes has no basis and just reflects insecurity. Also there are related plants such as CBD or hops that are also cultivated.
OP I believe you should study general plant biology, botany, chemistry and try your hand at actually growing something. Practice beats theory in this respect (in my opinion). You can experiment with plants and find out about different techniques, pests/diseases, additions, ferts. soil optimalities etc. It's a fun world and studying it is definitely worthwhile.
