Should humans really need to move out of the earth to search for life on another planet?

When we will able to reach the outside race?

Do the outside race finding the same answer as we(humans) are looking for?

Hard to tell. Space is huge. The evidence so far is not encouraging, however, because we have not seen any evidence of alien civilization. No megastructures, no probes, no signals from alien communication.

Earth city lights, weird atmosphere with oxygen, organic compounds and CFCs, should be detectable to an advanced alien civilization, but nobody has tried to contact us.

Then again space is huge and light takes years to travel.

Best candidate for evidence of aliens is still the Wow! signal, which bore all the hallmarks of what we would expect from an alien signal, except for the fact that it didn't repeat.

Moving into space is worthwhile just to increase our odds of survival rather than putting all our eggs in one basket. A gamma ray burst aimed at Earth could wipe out Humanity with very little warning. Colonizing space is an imperative.

Unknown, perhaps never.

If they exist, it's likely they are interesed in finding other aliens for a multitude of reasons. (Scientific curiosity, religious reasons, desire for diplomatic and cultural exchange, desire for scientific exchances, self-preservation or simply they desire our extermination)

I want to expand on my post to put things in perspective, re: aliens detecting us.

See pic related to get a perspective on how huge the Galaxy is.

Our weird atmosphere with oxygen and organic compounds has been only been this way for the last millions of years, using the Cambrian Explosion as a reference point, an advanced alien civilization would only be able to detect Earth has life only if they were located roughly ~541 million light years or less away. If they were located further away than that then Earth would be just an ordinary rocky planet to them.

As for CFCs, city lights and radio waves, these would be detectable only ~100 light years away at most, since we started emitting them very recently, so only if an alien civilization was located VERY close to us (100 LY or less) would they be able to see actual signs of intelligent life. Also important to keep in mind that most of our radio signals are very weak, they wouldn't be able to pick up TV or radio transmissions, but only the most potent stuff like radars.

So there is no Fermi Paradox because space is fucking huge. We have NO idea what's out there. All we can say with near certainty is that there are no advanced aliens very close to us, assuming, of course, that they are not actively hiding their presence from us.
