I posted this on /x/ but it belongs on /sci/.
Randall Carlson has about 12 hours of podcast videos where he proves the existence of the Atlantis mini continent:

>12,800 during an ice age a comet struck earth causing fire storms and a mass flood, marking the beginning of the younger dryas period
>11,500 years ago marks another great melting flood marking the end of the younger dryas
>the end of the younger dryas coincides with the date atlantis sunk into the sea provided by Solon
>further evidence of cataclysmic destruction from flooding such as landforms in north america and collapsing of atlantic island shelves
>the weight of the 2 mile thick glaciers in north america push down on the north american plate - hudson's bay is from the heaviest part of the ice
>there has to be compensation meaning land is raised vertically somewhere else
>north american, african, and eruasian plates all meet at a trisection making it the weakest point in the earths crust, thrusting atlantis (azore islands) several miles vertically
>when the ice sheets melted atlantis sank, today hudsons bay is still rising and the british isles are still sinking
Thats the basics from the geologist's perspective. But the azore islands also match Plato's decriptions perfecty, including geographic location, the red, white, and black coloured rocks, and the hot and cold springs on the azore islands which are tourist attractions today. During the ice age the gulf stream (the stream that warms the british isle today) would have wrapped around Atlantis making it a literal paradise with its fetile volcanic soil. This also means that it would have been much easier for humans to travel from the old world to the new world by the atlantic sea over 12,000 years ago when the sea was shallower.
