>>11904461>description of what nature dividing voltage by resistance? It's "not even wrong", just a description of the mathematical relation of "volts, Amps and resistance". The same as saying "the sky is blue".
>MODELS don't reflect reality Which is the cause for why people question them. It explains nothing about reality, it models an imagination of it.
>and people that actually do science not people who repeat whatever they hear on YouTube video or on stormfront forums KNOW THIS.So why do they use models?
>is spacetime a 4d manifold? maybe how would we even know? Perhaps by testing spacetime, in a scientific experiment. You know, like a scientist would.
>how would you even test that?Hypothesis what you believe "time" and a "space" or "spacetime" to be and compare it with what you actually observe/experience.
>4d manifold is just the mathmatical model in which we see how space effects timeWell if space and time don't actually exist at least it will remain a description then.
>shine light as something and see how long it takes to hit whatever you are pointing at it.Now what do I use to measure the light? If it's as fast as it's hypothesized to be then my eyes are too faulty to make an accurate reading so what instrument should I use? I googled for an answer, but all of them seem to involve the use of "lasers" which is obviously wrong right? Like, how silly would it be to measure something using itself and then base the results off of itself? How could you possibly even calculate the speed using such a ridiculous and logically flawed method. So since that's obviously not the answer what would suffice?
Also, light seems to be measured as a constant "in vacuum" for some reason. It slows down in glass and denser mediums too, so to say that it has a definite speed doesn't seem correct since it already changes based on the medium it passes through. If the speed is constant in a vacuum though, that makes me wonder how something can travel in nothing
