At the very least, moderna wouldn't be the only one in the race, and the fact that they're already starting phase 3 should mean that competitors shouldn't be too far behind either.
we just skipped years of drug development, getting a vaccine approved before the end of year is actually fucking plausible. We can just decide later on if the vaccine needs a booster dose for longer protection.
tl;dr I am glad i used up the last of my spare cash to buy stocks (tech and commercial real estate). Stocks about to go up a lot just on hopium alone.
