First of all, it isn't going to demonstrate any new, interesting technology. It will be something primitive that nobody cares about anymore. So it isn't going to make potential employers think you are some kind of Philo Farnsworth. Second, it will be very dangerous for your health and the health of innocent neighbors. Third, it will have legal consequences when you get caught. And you will get caught because why else do it if you can't tell people about it?
If you think you are so smart, why not instead take that time and effort and go to university and get an advanced degree in nuclear engineering? Prove you are capable of designing something new.
The day is going to come when the climate change people are going to tell the no-nuke people to fuck off and a new day will dawn for nuclear power. Be ready with your degree in hand and you can ride that wave.
