A week ago I made a decision to improve my maths before I enter college for the first time. I am also 25 and have always been bad at math.
I came to this board for resources and am currently looking at the fandom/wikia site (
https://4chan-science.fandom.com/wiki/Math_Textbook_Recommendations).
I plan to start from the arithmetic and work my way up. I struggle a bit with subtracting negatives in my head and division a lot so I feel a little intimidated but I think it'll benefit me in the longrun. My education stopped in the middle of algebra and I don't remember anything of it either so it'll be like starting new.
I think it's manageable if you work hard enough. Some people are naturally good at it but if you work as hard, you'll be able to achieve anything.
Unless you mean by becoming a mathematician, I don't know. But it's worth to try and fail than to not try and regret it.
Best wishes.
