>>11895713>Not one human in the 100,000+ who have seen that video had gotten to the second hour.Just sat through the entire thing and I can see why people wouldn't sit through the entire thing.
It's not everybody's cup of tea. At first it started out with computer simulations and hard provable fact, but then it sharply veers into intuitive logic and thinking, philosophy, esoteric-ism, and even economics. I wouldn't say anything was wrong, but it was a little dry/boring and preachy. Just my opinion tho, I'm not exactly an "optimist."
I see what they were going for. They wanted the format of their video to mimic their optimum philosophy. They started with by explaining infinite smallness in terms of particles and 4 fundamental forces. Then slowly shift towards larger and larger topics towards infinite greatness. But by their own definition both the smallness and greatness of topics being discussed (sorry for using those words so abstractly) are infinite, and so I think by trying to tackle those "big picture" topics his reach exceeded his grasp. Too much intuitive reasoning and not enough scientific/logical facts. Personally I like intuitive reasoning tho I think most people don't and I think that may be why nobody watched the second half. Much of the topics touched on in the movie could have been proven with more logical detail using game theory or... something, I'm not sure what exactly. Tho that would have made it much longer I suppose.
