Reminds me of freshman physics lab: hooking up oscilloscopes in arbitrary way could generate some interesting graphics. Never got to pic related's level of expertise though.

I own the same scope, It's a digitizing oscilloscope. They don't have to draw anything with XY mode or whatever, it's literally just rasterising an image from the processor.

Are you fucking kidding me?? Is it normal for digital oscilloscopes to run on Win98?
I guess if they made use of that DVD drive they could just install anything they wanted and use it like a normal PC.
I wonder if it'll run Linux?

No, most ones run Windows 7 or Windows 10. The last place I worked had a few that ran XP, but they had a fuckload of scopes and it would have been pointless to keep them all up to date
