Is it possible to do an Msc in computer science after doing a Bsc/Beng in mechanical engineering or another engineering subject? Anyone done this? Don't want to post this on /adv/ as it's not appropriate and I'm more interested in knowing if the skill set you learned somewhat prepared you for computer science.

Yes but most masters in CS programs are baby learn2code and basic shit for people who want to get some extra knowledge.
That being said, it depends on the classes you take. Just watch out for bad programs. It depends what you want to get out of it.

If you do EE, or obviously SE or CE you’ll be fine, otherwise most masters programs require a foundation in programming as well as basic data structures and algorithms coursework which is most of a CS minor so if you can do a CS minor along with your engineering major that would be best
