I underwent a head CT scan because of a trauma, and the outcome for the reason it was investigated is negative. However the report, made by a different doctor, is a little more detailed than the necessary, and there are some parts that intrigued me. In particular, what does the following means and what do they imply:
Neurocranium CT:
>modestly asymmetrical lateral ventricles due to slight enlargement of the right lateral ventricle
Facial Skeleton CT
>6mm round osteosclerotic areola in the right mandibular condyle
>small air bubbles in the soft parts surrounding the horizontal branch of the left side of the jaw
Also, what's the blue-circled one, and why is the red-circled part of the skull that way? Thanks in advance. It's always a pleasure to learn something new.
