What new treatment options for neurodegenerative diseases excite you? Do you have any predictions for the next decade?
They're currently researching a drug that claims to revert the inflammations associated with Alzheimers

Blogpost(The reason I made this thread): I have severe 3rd type ADHD. Judging from my symptoms, I'm very confident that it will progress into full blown LBD during my fifties. It's just not fair. Most Tumors can be treated and even healed with surgical removal, Even fucking MS-people can live a happy and fulfilled life in many cases. But what even is there to look forward to for us prefrontally impaired people? Why on earth are we fumbling around like bumbling retards when it comes to the different forms of dementia? I don't want to later live life like I'm on some kind of deliriant 24/7.
The treatment options I have for my ADHD are stims, nicotine and agents that act on the serotonergic system. Yet none of those will be able to prevent my all but certain, but slow descent into nightmare reality once I hit midlife. I'm not even thirty, yet I can't remember the name of secondary characters of an anime I watched 3 days ago.
All I can do to even try to prevent this is maintain a workout routine, keep on smoking, try to fight depression(which also increases the risk for LBD)
This really isn't that easy for someone with severe ADHD and lack of self-discipline in childhood and early adulthood)
