Is coronavirus the only respiratory illness that causes changes in the lungs in asymptomatic cases? I know "ground glass" (bizarrely fear-inducing terminology) is an existing symptom of various lung diseases, not just corona. It's true that we won't know how significant it is for at least a decade, but this is also true of swine flu, it's true of literally everything. I find it irresponsible of health officials / journalists to say that people have the potential to be affected for years. It's way way too early to even have indications that this is true.
