However something changes in or around 2008 and CS began responding to the same pressures as the other majors. My guess would be that CS enjoyed a brief period of rising standards and fewer degree holders before the inevitable “we got too cocky bro’s” moment when admins started telling them they actually needed to graduate some women and black students.
