The very first episode of NUMB3RS utilized a
heat map from a computer program invented by
a police officer from Toronto, ON (forgot the name).
When a spate of crimes occurred daily from
seemingly random places, the legend Charlie
used it to find, to within a block or so, where
the suspect was living. It was like taking the
drops of water where they landed and
reversing them back to the sprinkler (he said).
