Supposedly he couldn't talk about science without interjecting with "so what does this have to do with pussy?" every few minutes. Everything he did and attempted to do tied back to sex and pedophilia in some way. He largely courted scientists because he was obsessed with the idea of spreading his genome to as much of humanity as possible, and wanted to see if science/technology could facilitate that. Even if there also may have been some kind of blackmail stuff going on, I think his personal overriding goal was purely sex and hedonism. (When it comes to Maxwell, though, who knows.)
All he could think about was sex (with minors and/or adults), reproduction, sperm, etc., to the point that he wanted to use sex to make all future humans as obsessed with sex and pedophilia as he was. It's like the self-perpetuating part of natural selection was way overclocked in his brain. I hereby dub this the "Genghis Khan fetish".
