I also like the freedom in academia. This postdoc would be no teaching. Just research. So comfy. I can work at home or coffee shop or wherever.
I'm really good at what I do, I have a solid shot at tenure IMO. Although I know I can just bail whenever. Because of my personality, I don't worry about the uncertainty of academia. I just work and chill a lot.
