I knew a Mathematician who did Op Research for Shell Oil and Gas he's also the head/leader of that sector (don't know what his title was). He also is the one that told me that in certain jobs the only difference between Math guys, Phys guys and Engineer guys is what there degree was in, otherwise they could all perform the same brain dead job.
