>>11867377Depends. In fields like mathematical physics, which literally 0 people care about, the competition is high, you're better off pissing in the wind than trying to break through that field. Other fields which have massive amounts of active research like ML you're much, much more likely to get in to.
Pure mathematics is pretty much solely carried by the top 1% in intelligence at this point, maybe top 5%, if you're not in there and pretty creative, you're not gonna get anywhere. But mathematical physics is just shit.
