The ozone layer is slowly repairing itself thanks to the minimal amount of CFCs entering the atmosphere. What would have happened if we didn't ban them and how much CFCs would it have taken to almost entirely destroy the ozone layer?
I know Bromine and Chlorine radicals are the primary destroyer of atmospheric ozone, so in a future situation if we are transporting them either to or from the surface of the planet and they get directly released into the stratosphere, what would happen?
