I just started to learn the Bayes theorem which some youtubers said that it is the core of scientific breakthroughs. how true the Bayes theorem? should I go back to college and major stats? college in my country is free.

Free college means that everyone enrolls and classes are most likely dumbed down, which means you need to do alot by yourself to learn stuff. Go to college to get a direction of how you should progress with your knowledge, but if learning is meaningful to you, you need inner motivation or top school. There will be a lot of students that dgaf and want only to get their degree, and profs cant fail every student, because students bting money to the institution. So even with a motivated prof, classes might be not what they should be.
