there's a book at the undergrad level that's just about how to write mechanisms. You can probably skip/skim ch1. The problems vary wildly in difficulty, there's essentially nothing about synthesis in it.

If you want to run through syntheses for fun, you should just start reading the literature and trying to work through the mechanisms of various synthetic schemes.

Also, you might benefit from a book on name reactions, they tend not to have problems though.

A nice synthesis (advanced) reading material for you could also be about total synthesis,
a book I enjoyed a lot is Classics in Total Synthesis Targets, Strategies, Methods (1996, Wiley Vch) by Sorensen K.C. Nicolaou_ E.J.
