Science only tells us what is real and what is not under certain rules. We don't know if those rules are correct- but they our best guess.

Science says nothing about the metaphysical reality of the world.

Does science deal with reality? Is that an ontological category it tracks? Liquid, solid, gas, reality, imaginary number. It explains things, scientific explanations may hinge in some assumption of reality. It may give understanding of causal phenomena and ontological schemes that support it, but reality is not inherently any of these.
