When I roll a ball and compare it's state between two different points in time (the difference in time between these two points can be infinitesimal), is the ball changing it's own orientation and position or does the 'old ball' get deleted at the old time step with a 'new ball' appearing at the second time step with an updated orientation and position- thereby acting more like group of cells in a cellular automaton?
