You should not base your perception of a degree based on these people. The reality is that people who even get to these schools never actually work any jobs. Regardless of degree they immediately go to positions where they'll be making money around. The lucky ones (in your picture) will have some great idea, set up a start-up and go from there. But the average path is to graduate from the Ivy, work in Investment Banking for a few years, then either make a start-up or set up an investment fund that invests in other startups.

For them it is not about anything they learn, it's about how quickly they can come up with their idea that will make keep their family last name as millionaires. And this is, of course, mostly luck.

I'm Russian (as capitalist as it gets here). Income is important, especially for women, but it's not a meaning of life to people. Your family is the most important to you. The first priority (ideally) is to take care of your parents and your kids so that the kids treat you well when you're old. We don't have the social welfare capacity of the US (how ironic) for state pensions. So the elderly heavily depend on the youth, and most people don't accrue the capital necessary to live a comfortable life on their own when they're old.

There’s a reason it’s not Jeff Bezos on the meme despite having more money than Bill Gates, or Warren Buffett who has way more than the zucc.

Their inventions literally changed the world, the way we perceive and interact with reality. They’ve both made a huge contribution far beyond just how much money they’ve made. You know, Amazon is arguably more important than Facebook but changing how people buy shit is not as significant to the world as changing how people relate to and interact with each other. And neither would even be possible without the PC popularized by Bill Gates, Apple and Steve Jobs would deserve the credit too but he ded lol

I'm not exactly sure how ethics plays into this as I don't think someone making millions by outright scamming would be viewed as successful. Because money pays for your house, food, healthcare, your clothes, computer you type on, phone you use on daily basis, supports you, your family, give you ease of mind, etc.
