if you legitimately enjoy learning there's no place better than in college. If you can actually see yourself being a full-time learner potentially as a career, it's the right move. If you don't like learning, there's no reason to go to college.

bachelors is four years and there are summer and winter breaks. if you have a scholarship it is good, otherwise you can go to community college for the first two years and transfer. masters degree is usually a rip off unless you make good money after or have an employer pay for it. phd is usually funded through fellowships in the department/university or externally, im using most of mine to pay off the last bit of debt i have

Nothing can guarantee you a job but consider that the unemployment rate is inversely correlated with educational attainment. You're generally better off getting a formal education all things equal.
