Climate change is real and can fuck us up if we continue, but we actually have lots of time left.
However, alarmism is a necessary evil. It's the only way to convince normies, who are myopic and don't think in the long-term, to do something about it. If we convince them that shit can hit the fan within their lifetime then they would start taking it seriously.

Most of what I have read supports his view that solar/wind are rediculously inefficient, but anytime this gets brought up in the media, the person forwarding this argument gets called a liar and a coal shill.

Solar panels should be allowed to run until they're over their 'warranty' period if the numbers are accurate. Especially for home use, 80% of the initial output after 25 to 30 years is great. They can be probably be kept useful for longer, and recycled afterwards considering the value in their materials.
