What do you consider to be adequately prepared? Having a good understanding of functions, analytic geometry, trigonometry and algebra plus good problem solving skills is sufficient for you to take on Calculus. As long as you do your job, you'll be fine. But completing Khan Academy's course doesn't mean that you're prepared to effortlessly pass with good grades.
It also depends on your uni and the particular Calculus I course you're taking. In some unis, Calc I is piss easy, specially when there's the gay curving thing that Americans do. In some other unis, the course is a bit harder, and the problems on the exams are also more complicated to solve. And of course, even in the same uni Calc I could be different for Physics, Econ and Engineering students, too.
