>>11855723yes it has electrolytes, and yes you need to replenish electrolytes. that being said, gatorade is very expensive considering how much electrolytes you do get for your money. bananas and baking soda are far cheaper. additionally if you sweat enough, say working out in a warehouse gym in Texas with no a/c, then you're going to lose more sodium than what gatorade can reasonably replenish without having to drink a lot of it.
the human body is actually better at managing potassium than sodium because iirc potassium is an intracellular electrolyte where sodium is an extracellular electrolyte. you can easily sweat out a lot of sodium in a few hours where you need to deprive yourself of potassium for days to run out.
