the truth about food

What is the real way food is processed by the body? Calories seem like bullshit. When I went keto and ate practically nothing but high fiber, fat, protein, I was getting more than enough to eat but I felt like I was starving and I was losing weight. And whenever I eat something high in fiber, even though it may be high in calories, it doesn't feel like it's meeting my needs all the way.

I propose a theory. The idea of fat having 9 calories instead of a 4 is a bullshit concept. While that may be the amount of enough you can get by BURNING, you are not taking into account how much energy the body requires to PROCESS it. So basically the NET effect seems to be less.

And with fiber, since the body cannot digest it, it aids with digestion. That's why if you have constipation, you eat something high in fiber and it'll push it right out. BUT if fiber is pushing it out, then the food is staying in the body for less time, which means the body doesn't get to siphon out as much energy and nutrients, right?

Basically my idea is that *energy released from burning something* =/ *energy the body can actually obtain after processing it*
