So I was wondering if anyone else had given it thought: is it possible that mars was earthlike, and then over the years drifted (as planets do) out of the 'goldilocks' zone, to be replaced by our earth? please educate me if this is retarded thinking, and point me in the way of evidence that would enlighten me?
