When everyone here took Calc 2 and learned integration for the first time, who genuinely understood this and was able to apply it for the exam?

I learned integration on my own a year before I took calc 2. I've also did bunch of unorthodox trig in my last year of high school ( again on my own ) cause I was interested in spherical geometry. If you had problems with this you shouldn't have done STEM. Sorry you suck OP.

In my opinion Real Analysis as a whole shouldn't be a problem except for people in the life sciences cause they don't need it. Also all non-organic chemists are just guys who suck at math and couldn't do physics.

I got a C+ in Calc 1 and an A in Calc 2, Calc 3, ODEs, PDEs, and Real Analysis. I didn't take Calc in high school so it was a bit of a learning curve. Trig sub is just as unintuitive as biology.

I learned integration in calculus 1 not calculus 2 and no I didn't know that because partly because I skipped precalculus and didn't know fuckall of trigonometry and partly cause my teacher didn't know calculuis so she didn't know what she was teaching so I didn't learn anything in calculus 1 lol

You don't need to remember it, you can figure out what to substitute to simplify from the pythagorean identity (divide by sin^2 and cos^2 to produce 2 new identities first)
