Why do scientists make a claim without having any evidence to support it? Ok, the universe is expanding but we haven't found the source. Using terminology like "dark matter and energy" is absolute nonsense. Am I right or am I missing something?

The latter; you have the brainpower of a pop-sci retard, putting enormous stock into cool, sci-fi sounding words. Scientists have not made a single claim - dark matter/energy refer to things that they don't understand. They don't pretend like they understand it; that is why they study it.

Pop sci is not a replacement for an education. Its simplified and dumbed down to try and communicate to laymen.
The problem is people try to run with oversimplified clunky analogies way to far.
Dark matter and dark energy both fit the observations and there is no other theory that removes dark matter and energy from the equation and yields the same quality of predictions.
Things like MOND do an alright job in special circumstances but fall apart in broader application.
Long story short, its more likely that we're missing a piece of the puzzle and are dealing with an incomplete theory than it is that we're fundementally wrong about everything.
No one likes dark matter and people have spent their careers trying to get rid of it, or figure out what it is, but its so persistent that you can't just ignore it.

But then you get pop sci jurnos and bad scifi authors who don't understand this and in the popular imagination physicists are currently investigating an incomprehensible magic and the people who rightfully are doubtful about those claims come to the conclusion that physicists are just making stuff up, which actually would be true if the popular imagining was representative of what physicists believe.
