Do you consider the Anthropomorphism the upper reach of whatever living species?

Long and articulated limbs
Ability of easily making tools to improve our body
Bipedalism (legs for move, arms free to use or support moving faster increasing the balance)

I mean, which morph could have an intelligent alien?
Could it be something similar like carcinisation or other convergent evolution theory?
