When two head on quantum vortices collide and annihilate in a superfluid, where does their sum momentum go?

Does the superflow accelerate as the depth returns to non turbulent height? Does a boojun then appear to convert the vortice's momentum into transverse waves at the superfluid's surface before smoothing flat, or eternally jostling sloshing or oscillating? Intangible gravitational waves? Of course theoretically assuming pure superfluid.
