Can someone explain how homosexuality isn't a choice in the context evolutionary biology. How could a species naturally be attracted to the opposite sex causing said species to forfeit reproduction?

I'm a homosexual and I'm sick of talking about my condition. One day my cousin showed me porn when I was about 11. We were baitng together and and one point I told him "I only like seeing the guys not the girls" to which he said "you're gay" and that was that. What is so hard for anyone to understand about this. The cause is irrelevant. The effect is immutable and unchangeable. And so what's the big problem with that?

safe to say that some forms at least are an evolved adaptation to improve tribe or group fitness, others are due to genes that improve female fertility, others are due to an adaptation to prevent gene transfer.

basically humanity can not eliminate and never will and it would be harmful to society to do so because of their positive contributions, so social policy should find a safe way to make use of theiur talents.
Never the less I oppose gay "marriage" as I feel it runs severe risk of undermining actual marriages and their critical child environment. perhaps an alternative is better.

As they've been saying, the true cause is excess testosterone. With each male child a woman bears, the next male child will have more testosterone. At some point her female body decides the testosterone is an infection and attempts to fight it. This is why most homosexuals retain their incredible sex drive, while otherwise having some effeminate attributes.

My thinking is that homosexuality arises due to something going "wrong" in development. Maybe like how a speech development arises. I have nothing to back this up with though, just a thought

gay uncle theory is probably legit, other gay forms are caused by things like genes that increase female femininity and fertility enough to compensate for gay sons.
actually lesbians have much lower genetic correlation than gays probably because of harems
some forms of homosexuality are likely adaptive others are not talking at the tribal level at least
